Description
MCP73837 및 MCP73838 장치는 자율 전원 소스 선택 기능을 갖춘 완전 통합형 리튬이온(Li-Ion)/리튬폴리머(Li-Polymer) 배터리 충전기입니다. 작은 크기와 적은 수의 외부 구성 요소 요구 사항 덕분에 MCP73837/8은 휴대용 애플리케이션에 이상적으로 적합합니다.

MCP73837/8은 시스템의 전원 소스로 USB 포트 또는 AC 어댑터를 자동으로 선택합니다. USB 포트로 구동되는 시스템의 경우, MCP73837/8은 USB 사양에 따라 전류 한도를 준수합니다. 호스트 마이크로컨트롤러는 저전력 USB 포트용 100mA 또는 고전력 USB 포트용 500mA의 두 가지 최대 충전 전류를 선택할 수 있습니다. AC 어댑터가 시스템에 전원을 공급하는 경우, 외부 저항기를 통해 시스템 또는 충전 전류의 크기를 최대 1A까지 설정할 수 있습니다.

MCP73837/8은 선택 가능한 사전 조절(preconditioning) 및 충전 종료 기능을 갖춘 상수 전류/상수 전압 충전 알고리즘을 사용합니다. 상수 전압 조절은 4.20V, 4.35V, 4.40V, 4.50V의 네 가지 옵션으로 고정되어 있어 새롭게 등장하는 배터리 충전 요구 사항을 충족합니다. MCP73837/8은 높은 전력이나 높은 주변 온도 조건에서 다이 온도에 따라 충전 전류를 제한합니다. 이 열 조절 기능은 장치의 신뢰성을 유지하면서 충전 주기 시간을 최적화합니다.

MCP73837/8은 -40°C에서 +85°C의 주변 온도 범위에서 완전히 사양이 지정됩니다. MCP73837/8 장치는 3mmx3mm 10핀 DFN 패키지 또는 10핀 MSOP 패키지로 제공됩니다.
